The 41ft Sweden Yachts ‘Resonate’ has undergone a full-scale refit — from exterior to interior, from technical systems to rigging. Everything has been renewed and optimised, with one clear goal: to create a yacht fit for comfortable living, remote working, and high-performance offshore racing. With this extensive refit, sailing duo Tim and Liesbeth have brought their dream to life — a floating home built for adventure and competition alike.
Exterior: faster, lighter, smarter
The refit began with a complete removal of all deck fittings, followed by a detailed 3D scan. This formed the basis for installing a brand-new Ecodek — a sustainable, low-maintenance alternative to teak. The hull, deckhouse, and cockpit have all been resprayed in the yacht’s original nautical white and deep blue, while the underwater hull was stripped and treated with a new antifouling system.
Once the core work was completed, all deck hardware was reinstalled and optimised. The entire deck layout was rethought and redesigned to enhance performance — especially for short-handed sailing. Both the standing and running rigging were replaced, and every control point was fine-tuned to allow for efficient trimming, solo or as a duo. Every detail of the new configuration was carefully planned by the owners themselves.
Technical systems: smart, robust, reliable
The yacht’s complete electrical system was rebuilt by Stok Electric, and new B&G navigation equipment was installed. Other onboard systems, from battery banks to lighting, heating and refrigeration, were modernised to ensure full autonomy on long-distance passages.
Interior: comfort meets functionality
The interior has also been completely redesigned. New ceilings and floors were installed, all woodwork has been freshly varnished, and custom carpentry has created smart new storage solutions. The former bathroom has been converted into a technical space, and fresh upholstery and lighting have brought a clean, modern feel while maintaining seaworthiness.
‘Resonate’ is now fully ready for everything ahead — from participating in long-distance offshore races like the Scheveningen500, to setting sail on a global voyage. Good luck team Resonate!
