The home port of the Hutting 40 Parcival has been Club de Mar – Mallorca for many years. Jacques and Gerlinde, the German couple behind this sailing adventure, are fond of the sailing area around the island and the many opportunities this base offers. And that’s not even mentioning Mallorca itself, which also has so much beauty to offer in terms of nature and culture. The team from Club de Mar-Mallorca boarded the Hutting 40 to learn everything about this exclusive yacht, and, above all, to discover why Jacques and Gerlinde fell in love with it.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The answer? In 1989, the year the Berlin Wall fell and the German yacht market opened up to the world, Jacques saw the boat for the first time during a sailing trip across the Baltic Sea. “This is my boat,” he said immediately. Despite the challenge of finding a Hutting 40, due to the limited number of these boats and their tendency to be passed down within families, he kept searching. Finally, in 2016, at the Boot D\u00fcsseldorf, he came into contact with the owner who wanted to sell the boat \u2013 and it was located at Club de Mar-Mallorca. Jacques traveled to Mallorca, saw the boat, and it was love at first sight.<\/p>\n
